In the final moments of director John Huston’s THE MALTESE FALCON, Humphrey Bogart utters one of the most seminal lines in the history of motion pictures: “The stuff that dreams are made of.” No piece of dialogue better encapsulates the power of the cinema than that one.  Movies are precisely the stuff of dreams, with unparallel power to bring out the emotions in an audience.

As a Christian, I’ve found many opportunities over the years to relate Biblical truths to others by using a particular film as a springboard for discussion. What I endeavor to do with Reel Ministry is to broaden people’s understanding of Scripture by using the accessibility of motion pictures as an entertaining gateway into profoundly spiritual matters.

As songwriter Andrew Peterson wrote, “…my Jesus can make all things new.”
